French Polynesia has highest Covid-19 cases in the Pacific

APIA: French Polynesia continues to have the highest number of Covid-19 cases in the Pacific, with the current total recorded at 18,060 according to figures published by the Pacific Data Hub. As of January, 131 people have died in French Polynesia from Covid-19.

The second highest number of cases recorded is in Guam with a total of 7,587 cases and 129 deaths. Papua New Guinea has 851 with nine deaths followed by Fiji with with 55 cases and two deaths.

The regional data indicates cumulative total of 26,761 Covid-19 cases across the Pacific islands.
