Indigenous Samoan climate leaders are featured in the documentary ‘Finding Hope: Samoa’ by Greenpeace Australia to be released in March this year. Created by an all-Samoan team a preview was issued last week in anticipation of the release.
Head of Greenpeace Pacific, Auimatagi Joseph Moeono Kolio in releasing the preview said: “When it comes to Climate Change, there is no political divide between us in the Pacific because we are all at risk. For Samoans, the relationship with the environment goes to the heart of our culture and who we are as a people. Now, our leaders come together to share the wisdom of a culture that has lived in harmony with nature for over 3,000 years.”
