Pacific Islanders did strike for climate in their own way

Although small in numbers, students, teachers, advocates and many others took part in climate strikes from across the Pacific this week. Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga, Tuvalu, Fiji and Pacific islanders in Australia and New Zealand took part in the global call for action on climate change across the world.

Our leading image is from the island of Savai’i in Samoa where girls who are part of the Girls Leading our World Initiative took part in a climate strike in their school.

Here are some photos via Facebook of Pacific island climate strikers.
