Pacific Aviation Security Forum Held in Samoa

The Pacific Aviation Security Forum opened in Samoa on September 2nd to the 4th hosted by the Samoan Government. Participants represented ten Pacific Countries from Regulatory and Service Providers who deal with Aviation Security issues in their respective countries. Stakeholders and Pacific Air operators were also present.

The keynote address was delivered by the Honourable Minister of Works, Transport and Infrastructure, Papali’itele Niko Lee Hang. He thanked the Government of New Zealand for funding the Forum as well as their continued support with the introduction of the latest security X-Ray machines for the different Pacific airports and other projects.

This important Forum will assist the participating Pacific countries in improving their systems and information on Aviation Security.
